BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Binghamton eateries are joining forces over the next week, creating special menus, to raise money for local kids in need.

Binghamton Restaurant Week officially kicks off tomorrow, with lunch and dinner deals at 23 locally owned Binghamton restaurants.

Eat Bing organizes the initiative and hosted a news conference at the newly opened Spice of India on Binghamton’s Southside.

This year, a portion of the proceeds will go to support the Broome County Urban League.

Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham says the event attracts people from outside of the city, and there’s options to cater to everyone.

“But hopefully, are coming in from outside the area to experience all of Binghamton’s locally owned, independent restaurants. We’ve got a great lineup this year with many different restaurants participating. As I’ve said before, if you go to every one of these during restaurant week, it’s called doing the full Kraham,” said Kraham.

You can find a full list of the participating restaurants online at EatBing.com .

You can also find their lunch and dinner menus.

Restaurant week runs for ten days and ends on October 24.
