BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Broome County Festival of Lights is returning to Otsiningo Park for 53 nights, bigger and brighter than ever before.

The Festival of Lights is returning on November 14 and will run through January 5, 2025.

“This will be the biggest and brightest Festival of Lights in Broome County history,” said Event
Director Dave Pessagno. “We’re adding thousands of lights and numerous new displays to this
year’s show, but we’re also focused on enhancing the family experience, adding more music
performances, Santa dates, photo-ops, and holiday vendors – bringing all the magic of the
    holiday season to Otsiningo Park.”

This year, there will be two fireworks show. The first will be held on Black Friday, November 29, and the other will be held on New Years Eve, December 31.

The Festival of Lights will also be hosting several performances from local high school and church choirs throughout the season. The Voice’s Alyssa Crosby and several other local artists and bands will be performing a special show on December 22.

Santa Claus will be returning for meet and greets with children and families on the following dates:

    ● November 30
    ● December 6

    ● December 8
    ● December 12
    ● December 13
    ● December 14
    ● December 15
    ● December 19
    ● December 20
    ● December 21
    ● December 22
    ● December 23

New this year, the Festival of Lights will feature several holiday vendors in Santa’s Village, each selling locally made gifts and items. Local vendors wishing to sell their products at the Festival of Lights can reach out to Dave Pessagno, at (607) 761-2475.

The Festival of Lights began in 2020 to give families a safe and festive way to celebrate the holidays during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since its inception, it has become one of the largest holiday lights shows in Upstate New York and Pennsylvania. It features over two million lights and serves as a major fundraiser for local school and church groups and nonprofits, giving $75,000 back to the community each year.

The lights show will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 on Friday and Saturday.
