    90 and 95-year-old in critical condition after Salina fire

    Update at 11:15 a.m. on 10-16-24: The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has released that the two people found unresponsive in the home were a 90-year-old woman and a 95-year-old man.

    They are both at Upstate Hospital in critical condition.

    The sheriff’s office said the fire appears to be accidental, and possibly caused by a heater.

    SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two people were sent to Upstate Hospital following an overnight fire on Glendale Avenue.

    The fire occurred in the Galeville neighborhood, not far from Buckley Road.

    Fire crews have been investigating what appears to be a porch on the left side of the house.

    According to the Liverpool Fire Chief, when crews arrived at the scene, they were met with large amounts of fire. Two people were found unresponsive in the home.

    There is no update on their condition at this time.
