ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A local construction firm is playing a significant role in the creation of a new home for the Buffalo Bills.

William H Lane Incorporated has been working on the construction of a new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

The company was brought in as a subcontractor for Baker Construction to handle pouring all of the concrete for the building’s foundation.

While Lane has worked on some larger scale projects in the past, such as casinos, this was its largest to date involving 18,000 cubic yards of concrete and a multi-million-dollar contract.

President and CEO Mark Lane says the company was given seven months to complete the work and finished ahead of schedule.

“It was quite a challenge. We had 85 construction people on site, six days a week, ten hours per day getting that done on a very aggressive schedule. Fortunately for us, the weather cooperated throughout the winter. So, we were able to pull it off,” said Lane.

Lane says the project is opening up more doors for William H Lane.

It got the contract to do all of the drywall for the luxury boxes at the stadium and Baker has asked it to participate in some other large-scale projects in the Northeast.

Lane says his company will continue to work on the stadium project until June of 2026.
