    Arrests made in Augusta Dollar General murder

    UPDATE, 5:35 P.M. – A second arrest has been made in the Augusta Dollar General murder.

    According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Creston Curry, 37, was arrested by RCSO and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

    Authorities say Curry was wanted for Murder and Armed Robbery and was also wanted for other outstanding warrants unrelated to this particular case.


    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the murder of a man at a local Dollar General.

    Tamiko Bolton was arrested on July 18 and is charged with Murder in connection with the death of Elias Delk .

    Delk was murdered on June 15 at the Dollar General on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Augusta.

    Deputies responded at approximately 4:44 A.M. in reference to a suspicion situation. Once there, deputies located a deceased male victim, later identified as Delk, with injuries that appeared to be from multiple blunt force trauma.

    According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, Delk was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:45 A.M.

    Arrest warrants state that a second suspect was involved in the murder. Their identity has not yet been released.
