Don’t blame Tim, at Lock and Dam they don’t

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Fishing… these folks love it, but what they don’t love is a change in the weather for the worse.

“Definitely, I’ve had days when I’ve had tree limbs hit me in the face,” said Sue Gross.

“I hate when it rains because I can’t go fishing, or when it be cold,” said Jabari Grant.

It’s been Tim Miller’s job to let those fisher people know what’s up weather wise, and if it goes bad, what often happens? Blame the weather guy.

“Have you ever been forced off the bank forced to stop fishing because of the weather?”

“Yes, I have,” said Albert Price.

    “We’re you mad?”

    “Yes, I was,” said Albert.

“Did you blame the weather man?”

“Yes, I did because he did not tell me a storm was coming,” said Albert.

This is not a unique opinion. We found lots of articles about people maligning meteorologists when it rains on their parade or fishing.

“That’s right because you’ll all be off key at times. You tells us it’s going to rain, and you don’t get a drop,” said Albert.

During his time, Tim’s hasn’t been perfect. Some fishing days got rained out, but at Lock and Dam, he’s not the object of scorn.

    “No, no,” said Shawn Reid.

    “We love Tim.”

“I do, I do,” said Shawn.

    And that’s no fish story.
