Aiken County investigators seeking person of interest in Edgefield Road shooting

EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WJBF) – It’s been over a week since the deadly July 17 shooting death of James Wright Jr. on Edgefield Road , and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying a person of interest who might have been a witness.

According to ACSO, they would like to question a person seen on video footage from the Talk Now Cellular store, as they believe the individual might have been a witness to Wright’s murder. Video footage also shows the person of interest leaving the area in a blue four-door sedan.

The sheriff’s office is asking if anyone knows the identity of this person of interest or has any information on this investigation, to contact them at 803-648-6811 or www.aikencountysheriff.net. People can remain anonymous.
