Columbia Co. School District warns of false social media posts

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Columbia County School District is warning parents of social media posts with false information making the rounds.

The posts reportedly make claims of bedbugs at Harlem Middle School.

School District officials confirm to NewsChannel 6 that these posts are false, and remind parents that these types of notifications would be provided directly to families via e-mail, phone or text.

Info would also be posted on the school websites.
