    62-year-old hit on Peach Orchard Rd., dies days later

    AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office responded to Wellstar / MCG yesterday in reference to a pedestrian death.

    62-year-old Jan Jacoby from Augusta was struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the 2600 block of Peach Orchard Road Sunday, August 11th.

    Jacoby was taken to the hospital by EMS.

    She was pronounced dead on Wednesday, August 14th at 1:52 p.m.

    No word if charges will be filed against the drive.
