    Westmont Elementary students to report to new school Monday

    UPDATE, Friday, August 16th – The Columbia County School District has received notification that students and staff are able to report to the new Westmont Elementary School on Monday, August 19, 2024.

    Parents will receive information from the school directly regarding other important
    information.

    COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Westmont Elementary School Students will be reporting to another location on Friday.

    Students are to report to the Columbia County School District Support Department Complex at 4595 River Watch Parkway.

    The district says the new building should be open by Monday, but if delays do happen, school will be held at the Columbia County Exhibition Center next week.

    Kindergarten and 1st Grade students will be dropped off at the Support Department Complex, and spend the day rotating between learning stations including visiting a fire truck, an ambulance, and an animal adaptation presentation.

    Students in 2nd through 5th Grades will arrive at the Support Department Complex to check in and have breakfast before departing on their scheduled field trips.

    All students, including those on field trips, will return to the support department complex for dismissal.
