    Annual ‘TechNet Augusta’ conference begins Monday

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – TechNet Augusta is back for its 11th annual event beginning Monday, Aug. 19.

    TechNet Augusta, which is being hosted by AFCEA International , aims to allow participants to learn more about the cyber domain from the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and other industry experts.

    Events for the conference will be held in the Marriott Augusta, Augusta Convention Center and Georgia Cyber Center Aug. 19-22, 2024.

    “Since 2013, Augusta has been proud to host this esteemed event, which brings together some of the brightest minds in technology, defense, and cyber security,” said Bennish Brown, president and CEO of Destination Augusta. “TechNet Augusta has become a cornerstone of our city’s annual calendar, not just for the wealth of knowledge exchanged, but for the significant connections made right here in our community.”

    According to Destination Augusta, nearly 6,000 people participated in last year’s TechNet event, contributing $5.4 million in economic impact for the area.

    This is the first TechNet event hosted since the name change of Fort Eisenhower in 2023, which was formerly known as Fort Gordon.
