VA Augusta bringing VetFest 2024 to McCormick on Thursday

MCCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – VA Augusta, Veterans Benefits Administration and other Veteran support organizations are offering resources for the area’s veterans with VetFest 2024.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lutheran Church by the Lake located at 100 12 Oaks Drive in McCormick, S.C.

Attending veterans will have access to VA Benefits claims assistance, toxic exposure screenings, PACT Act information and on-site enrollment for VA Health Care with information about services available through the VA Augusta Health Care System.

“VA Augusta and the VA as a whole has been aggressive in expanding access to healthcare and benefits for South Carolina and Georgia Veterans,” said Mike Carey, Outreach
Coordinator for VA Augusta Health Care System. “So, we’re getting out to the communities like McCormick to make sure we can educate and enroll Veterans so they can access the services they’ve earned.”
