Brush fire on Bobby Jones Expressway, crews responding

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Richmond County Fire Department have responded to a brush fire at Bobby Jones Expressway on Friday.

According to the city, the westbound side of I-520 between Windsor Spring Road and Deans Bridge Road has been affected.

RCSO is assisting with traffic control.

Drivers in the area are encouraged to seek alternative routes at this time.
