    Saluda Co. man charged with forgery, obtaining property under false pretenses by SLED

    SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – A Saluda County man is facing forgery and obtaining property under false pretense charges from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

    According to SLED, Tyqona Malek Jones, 24, of Saluda County, was charged with Forgery value of $10,000 or more and Obtaining Property under False Pretenses values $10,000 or more on Friday, August 30th.

    According to the arrest warrant, on May 21st, Jones knowingly purchased a 2018 RAM 2500 from Jiggies Truck & Auto Sales in Aiken County using a fraudulent driver’s license and a fraudulent cashier’s check in the amount of $22,305.

    Authorities say Jones has been booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.
