    RCSS confirms K9 Officers sweep on Cross Creek High School campus

    RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A Richmond County School System spokesperson has confirmed with WJBF that there were K9 Officers sweeping parts of the campus at Cross Creek High School on Wednesday, September 4th.

    Administrators say they are working on getting more information in regards to the K9 officer campus sweep.

    Earlier this school year, a gun was found and confiscated on the Cross Creek High School campus on Thursday, August 22 nd , following a tip that a student may have a gun on campus.

    Before that, on Thursday, August 15 th , Cross Creek High School staff and a Richmond County School System police officer responded to a fight in the parking lot involving several students. Administrators and RCSS police continued to investigate the incident and determined that one student had a weapon that they did not use during the fight.

    The Richmond County School system encourage students to report concerning activity to an instructor or administrator immediately. The school system tip line is always available to receive and address concerns about the safety of our school, students and staff at (706) 828- 0177.

    so glad my son no longer goes there and my daughter won't be attending. this school was once good but after covid, it went to 💩!!! not just the kids but the so called staff as well!!
