UPDATE 9/7/2024 – Valley Public Service Authority advises its customers residing in the Old Warrenville Water System area which were included in the Boil Water Advisory issued on September 6, 2024, that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

If you have any questions concerning this repeal of the Boil Water Advisory, you can contact Valley Public Service Authority at (803) 593-2053.

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – Valley Public Service Authority Water System’s general manager announced a boil water advisory is in place for some customers.

A press release on Sept. 6 advises those in the Old Warrenville Water System area to boil their water for one full minute before drinking or cooking until further notice.

Officials report that there has been no confirmed contamination of the system, but the interruption of the water service due to system repairs causes a potential for contamination.

According to the Valley Public Service Authority, the South Carolina Department of Public Health and Environmental Control is working with the water system to correct the issue.

Those with questions concerning the water notice are asked to contact the water system at (803) 593-2053.
