6th Street closed at Greene Street due to railroad tracks construction

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Drivers need to be aware of the closing of 6th Street at Greene Street.

According to traffic engineering, the intersection of Greene Street and 6th Street will be closed through the weekend due to construction activities at the railroad tracks along 6th Street.

Traffic engineers state that detours are in place to direct traffic around the closure and drivers are to expect traffic delays in this area.

Traffic engineers are asking drivers to please use Telfair Street or Broad Street to get around the closure.
