    Glascock Co. Sheriff’s Office receive reports of school threats made by students

    GLASCOCK COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office states that authorities have received reports of possible school threats on two separate days.

    The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office states that they received a report on Thursday, September 5th of a possible threat made by a juvenile high school student, and after the school system completed its investigation, the Sheriff’s Office conducted an independent review of the student’s statement and history.

    Authorities say that based on this review, the decision was made to contact the Department of Juvenile Justice and proceed with charges of Terroristic Threats and Acts against the juvenile.

    According to the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office, authorities in collaboration with the Glascock County Consolidated School Administration investigated a potential threat reported to the school on Tuesday, September 10th.

    Investigators say that student in question was immediately removed from class, and after interviews were conducted by both school officials and sheriff’s deputies, it was determined that there was sufficient probable cause, leading to the student’s arrest.

    According to the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office, the student has been charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts and transported to the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center.
