COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A man has been arrested and charged after what authorities are calling a stabbing incident.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on the 4700 block of Maple Springs Court around 1:30 A.M.

The Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Chente Raymundo.

According to authorities, the roommates of Raymundo were asleep when they were awakened by an altercation happening outside of their bedroom, and then, they say after they woke up, Raymundo and the person he was having the altercation with, later identified by authorities as Lucio Hernandez DeLaCruz, fell through the roommates’ bedroom door.

The roommates told deputies that they saw DeLaCruz stabbing Raymundo, but they state that neither of them knew who started the altercation.

The roommates also said that they alerted the other roommates of the fight, and everyone stayed in their room.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, DeLaCruz was located on Columbia Road not far from the location of the incident around 8:30 A.M. with a black bookbag that contained bloody clothing inside of it.

Authorities state that DeLaCruz has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Crime, and no bond has been set.

They alerted the other roommates? How many illegals are living in that house? Didn't Columbia County just deny being a sanctuary city?
