AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Destination Augusta and Augusta Sports Council expect September’s events in the city bring over 100,000 visitors and generate millions in estimated economic impact.

The annual Arts in the Hearts Festival, set for Sept. 20-22, is estimated to bring in the bulk of the visitors, as it estimates 100,000 people to attend this year.

IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta’s 2024, an annual triathlon taking place Sept. 29, is expected to generate the most in economic impact with almost $6 million.
