Captain Parish said doing the stair climb really drives home what they went through.

“It starts off…the spirits are pretty high with everybody, you know, because you’re excited to do it. But then, as the event goes on, when you start to get tired, you really start to…the mood kind of goes down a little bit because now you’re really starting to understand what they went through. As the stair climb goes on, it gets really quiet and guys are just to themselves trying to finish and really thinking about what went on.”
