Downtown Augusta street closings for Arts in the Heart

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Several streets in Downtown Augusta will be closed for the annual Arts in the Hearts of Augusta Festival next week.

Here are street closings beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17:

• Albion & Broad Street.
• 8th Street (from Ellis Street to Broad Street)
• 9th Street (next to the Board of Education from Ellis Street to Broad Street)
• Broad Street will close from 6th Street to 10th Street
• MaCartan Street from Broad Street to Jones Street
• 9th Street from Broad Street to Jones Street

On Friday, Sept. 20, the eastbound lane of Reynolds Street will close from 9th to 8th Street. In addition, all parking wells on Broad Street from between 6th and 10th Streets will be closed.

According to Arts in the Hearts, the closures will remain in place until after the festival ends and local law enforcement deems the areas to be safe for traffic.
