    SLED locates two escaped DJJ males

    UPDATE: As of 10:55 p.m., SLED has reported that both Robert Richard Louis Bissonnette IV and Malachi Joseph Ussery are now in custody.

    SOUTH CAROLINA (WJBF) – South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is looking for two teens who escaped from Three Rivers Behavioral Health facility in Lexington County in August.

    Robert Richard Louis Bissonnette IV, 17, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 137 pounds. Bissonnette has hazel eyes and has brown hair. According to SLED, Bissonnette was last seen on Sept. 6 in West Columbia, S.C, on Sunset Boulevard. He is from Anderson, S.C.

    Malachi Joseph Ussery, 18, is listed 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. Ussery has blue eyes and brown hair. According to SLED officials, Ussery has a “violent criminal history.” He is from Columbia, S.C.

    The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) reported that both Bissonette and Ussery are wanted after escaping the facility off of Augusta Road on Aug. 28, 2024.

    Those who see Bissonnette or Ussery are asked to immediately call 911 and report information to SLED at (866) 472-8477. People are asked not to engage with either of them.

    Law enforcement are also urged to use caution if they encounter Bissonnette or Ussery.
