Victim identified in stabbing death on Edgefield Hwy in Aiken County

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken County Coroner is investigating the death of a Trenton man.

The Coroner’s Office was called to the 2700 block of Edgefield Highway near Johnston Highway Friday night around 6 p.m.

Aiken County Coroner Darryl M. Ables tells us the victim, identified as 36-year-old Jeffery M. Stodghill, was found on Edgefield Highway after a domestic altercation with a family member, where he was reportedly stabbed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
