    Augusta commissioners vote to re-open Olive Rd.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Augusta commissioners have voted to re-open Olive Road.

    According to traffic engineers, Olive Road has been closed for seven months after the bridge was hit one again; even though repairs were finished in May, the road remained closed.

    Augusta commissioners voted on Tuesday to re-open the road and to have traffic engineers work on installing a new chair curtain to alert drivers.

    Traffic engineers say they expect traffic to begin flowing again on Wednesday.
