EVANS, Ga. (WJBF) – Columbia County Deputies responded to the Evans movie theater on Towne Center Drive about a man threatening to shoot people.

Reports say Trevonta Epps threw open the front door of the building, knocked over several line post guides, approached the front desk, and yelled for a manager.

Epps demanded the manager call law enforcement.

Once deputies arrived at the theater, they encountered the suspect.

They took Epps’ gun from his pocket and made him lay on the floor while placing him in handcuffs.

Deputies say during this process, a strong odor of alcohol was coming from the suspect.

Trevonta Epps is charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.
