Augusta Interim Administrator, Finance Director, and Procurement Director resign

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Commissioners tell NewsChannel 6’s George Eskola that Takiyah Douse, Finance Director Donna Williams and Procurement Director Geri Sams have met with city attorneys to resign from their positions.

This comes after Tameka Allen was named the permanent City Administrator . Commission voted 7-2 to appoint Allen to the position on Tuesday.

After a more than 4 hour legal meeting, Douse, Williams, and Sams have all agreed to resign.

Takeya Douse was escorted off the commission chamber floor by a Marshal.
