GROVETOWN, Ga. (WJBF) – Welcome to Business and Marketing class at Grovetown High School. When we paid a visit, Travis Foust’s students were taking part in a hands on, hands-free lesson about teamwork.

“The students were using strings and rubber bands to stack cups with just their words, but they couldn’t touch the cups with their hands,” Foust says. “So it was about communication and working together.”

Mr. Foust took a long and extremely winding road to get here. But it sure was worth the journey.
“Realtor, real estate investor, technology military instructor, and technology business owner, and now teacher. So, I’ve done a lot of different things but this is definitely my calling and what I enjoy most.”

That feeling is reenforced when he gets to see his students grow into young adults.

“When the kids graduate, and they’re so happy and they’re moving on with their life, and going to college or they’re going into the military or they’re opening their own business, and they come back to me and they thank me. And they’re so appreciative. And just to watch that transition and watch them grow is very rewarding.”

And it all starts at home. Travis Foust stays busy with his own family. But he never stops focusing on his other family, his students here at Grovetown.

“And I try to think about them growing up and learning and going on to do great things in their life,” he says. “And that’s just kind of how I envision it and it’s just kind of natural to me.”
