AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken County Public School District has announced a number of schedule changes due to incoming severe weather from Helene.

All after school activities for Thursday, September 26, have been cancelled. That includes after school meetings, athletic events, and Quest Zone.

Schools will have an e-learning day on Friday, September 27. Teachers and staff will work remotely.

“We recognize that several high schools have athletic events this week, including some with Homecoming. Some of those schools have moved their football games to this evening. Others are planning to host their games Friday night after the storm passes through. Should the weather necessitate a change to those plans, additional information will be shared by our high schools directly.”

NewsChannel 6 will continue to follow updates from all surrounding school districts as severe weather continues to develop across the CSRA.
