McDuffie County Schools closed Friday; Thursday bus pick up changes

McDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – McDuffie County Schools will be closed on Friday, September 27, due to severe weather brought on by Hurricane Helene.

Schools will be open Thursday, but parents living on the following roads are asked to contact the school’s Department of Transportation at 706-986-4091 to meet buses at designated points:

Foster Sprouse
Rock House
Fish Dam
Mason
Heaton
Goett
Carolyn Lake
Lakeview
Greenbrier
Reeves
St. Paul
Dogwood
Jones
Whitaker
Radford Gay
Chalker
Rabun

The football game scheduled for Friday, September 27 has been rescheduled to Friday, October 18.
