    Emergency shelter opens in Bamberg as severe weather, flooding hit the area

    BAMBERG COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – Bamberg County has opened an emergency shelter due to severe weather and flooding across the county.

    The shelter is at Bamberg First Baptist Church at 11823 Heritage Hwy. The shelter is open starting at 4 p.m. Thursday.

    You’re asked to bring any essential items you might need, including food & snacks, medications, blankets and pillows, important documents, and cell phone chargers.

    If you have any questions, you’re asked to call Bamberg EOC at 803-245-3013 or Bamberg First Baptist at 803-245-2453
