JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Winds reached up to 82 miles an hour in some parts of the CSRA Friday morning.

In Jefferson County, they were between 75-80 miles per hour.

In Wrens, 30 minutes outside of Augusta, the rain and wind really began to pick up around 1AM, it is now close to 3:30AM and there is no signs of it stopping

Earlier on Thursday evening, we spoke with Louisville City Admin Ricky Sapp who said crews will be ready and available during this time. We reached back out to Sapp but haven’t heard any updates at this time.

We did reach out to Wrens Fire Rescue, and while they haven’t reported any fallen trees, flooding, or power outages at this time, they are anticipating damage due to the high winds.
