    Henry Brigham Community Center open for shelter, hotels also available

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Henry Brigham Community Center is open for those who are in need of shelter during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

    According to the Augusta, Georgia Fire/EMA Facebook page, the Henry Brigham Community which is located on Golden Camp Road can be used as shelter for those in need.

    It also states that hotels are also being made available for displaced residents, and if you are in need of help, you can check VisitAugusta.com for more information on hotel availability and bookings.

    Augusta Fire/EMA also states on its page that The Red Cross is coming to assist with shelters and community needs.

    For non-emergency requests, such as reporting downed trees or power lines, please use 311 or the Augusta 311 App. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
