    Two dead after tree falls on firetruck in Saluda Co.

    SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – 2 people are dead after a tree fell on top of the firetruck they were traveling in.

    According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the two occupants were traveling east on Beulah Road, about 4 miles west of Batesburg-Leesville, in a 2000 Navistar firetruck.

    SCHP says the accident happened on September 27th around 6:32 A.M.

    According to authorities, both occupants of the vehicle were deceased on scene.

    According to SCHP, this is an ongoing investigation.
