CSRA – The National Guard is sending help to different areas of the CSRA to assist with clearing roadways and road openings.

    BURKE COUNTY

The Army National Guard has 2 chainsaw strike teams and heavy equipment here, the EMA Facebook page says. They will be clearing roadways. The first priority will be evacuation routes from Plant Vogtle. Crews will begin moving to other areas after the evacuation routes are cleared. We do not know how long they will stay in Burke County. EMA also says that anyone who needs water should bring clean containers with lids to EMA headquarters to fill containers. They are located at the intersection of Highways 24 & 25 (bypass) in Waynesboro.

    NORTH AUGUSTA

According to the City of North Augusta Facebook Page , National Guard assets are enroute to assist with road openings.
