CSRA (WJBF) – Here are the few updates that we’ve received on trash service in various areas.

-The City of Augusta is set to resume normal trash collection services on Wednesday, Oct. 2. if the street is accessible. According to Augusta Environmental Services, trash collection will take place one day behind the scheduled day. Household waste will be collected in cans only. Cans should be placed in an accessible location on the curb.

City officials also ask that as you begin clearing tree debris, to place it curbside, though, yard debris and other bulky items are not being collected at this time. The landfill is open from 5 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will accept up to five bags of household trash at no charge. It’s located at 4330 Deans Bridge Road in Blythe.

-Beginning tomorrow, October 2nd, at 8 a.m., City of Grovetown residents may bring their household trash to Liberty Park, located at 1040 Newmantown Road, for disposal. There will be a large dumpster located on site, and it will be available from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. through Friday for now. Please note, Liberty Park will be manned. Please do not expect to dump bulk and yard waste at this location. This includes tree limbs, furniture, mattresses, tires, etc., and residents who attempt to dispose of these items will be turned around. Liberty Park is only accepting bagged household trash, to include bagged spoiled food. We will provide this service as long as it’s needed.

City of Midville residents trash pick up will be running a day behind. If you are normally picked up on Monday your trash will be picked up today. Tuesday route will run tomorrow!
