Saluda County Fire Service releases funeral plans for Satcher, Bodie

SALDUA COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The Saluda County Fire Service has announced the funeral arrangements for Circle Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chad Satcher and Firefighter Landon Cale Bodie who were killed while responding to an incident caused by Hurricane Helene on Friday, Sept. 27.

Visitation details for Chief Chad Satcher are as follows:

• Location: Batesburg-Leesville Fine Arts Center, 600 Summerland Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006
• Date and time: Friday, October 4, 2024 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Parking: Lower level of Batesburg-Leesville High School

Funeral service details for Chief Chad Satcher are as follows:

• Location: Batesburg-Leesville Fine Arts Center, 600 Summerland Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006
• Date and time: Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11 a.m.
• Parking: Lower level of Batesburg-Leesville High School

Procession for general public from Batesburg-Leesville Fine Arts Center to graveside at Ridge Crest Memorial Park

• Parking (facing school) on right of center lane
• Exit the parking lot at one-way entrance to the left onto Summerland Ave
• Right into Ridge Crest Memorial Park, 327 Summerland Ave, Batesburg-Leesville
