GROVETOWN, GA (WJBF)- The 26-1 Grovetown Softball team honored their three seniors in their last two home games of the regular season.

Coming into their double header against the Grayson rams, the lady warriors had won 24 consecutive games. They now make it 26 straight, combining for 20 runs to win both their games.

In addition, Grovetown honored their three seniors: first baseman Scarlet Gibb, second and third baseman Sam Story, and pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman Maddy Harl, who was the starting pitcher in the circle.

“The biggest way for me to stay confident in myself is having trust in the rest of my defense. I think throughout this year, I’ve never been in a scenario where I’ve been worried if the ball will get here, we’ll be in a pickle,” Harl said.

“It’s special knowing the parents of the other seniors as well we’re all such a tight knit community around here. I think it feels that much better. I’m sad to go, but I feel like the memories I’ve made here are really special too.”

It’s Grovetown’s last home appearance, as they wrap up their regular season with a double header on the road against Archer.
