    Sen. Ossoff: SBA Business Recovery Center opens in Augusta

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – In-person help is available for small business owners recovering from Hurricane Helene around Augusta and the CSRA, Senator Jon Ossoff announced Friday.

    The Small Business Administration (SBA) has opened a Business Recovery Center for the Augusta area. SBA staff will be on site to assist business owners with disaster loan applications, accepting documents, and providing updates on application statuses.

    Business Recover Center (BRC) in Augusta-Richmond County is located at CSRA Regional Commission on 3626 Walton Way Extension, Suite 1 in Augusta. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. (The Center will be closed Monday, Oct. 14)

    Walk-ins are accepted, but SBA also recommends scheduling an in-person appointment at an SBA Business Recovery Center in advance .

    According to SBA, the filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Nov. 29, 2024. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 30, 2025.
