Lakeside Golf Team honored with state championship rings

EVANS, GA (WJBF)- Prior to the Lakeside football game, the 2024 6A Lakeside Golf Team was honored on the field to celebrate their state championship.

One by one, each golfer accepted their individual ring. The entire team also sported their Georgia state champs’ shirts.

The ring itself had the Lakeside logo embedded, and this new hardware is something head coach Justin Crawford and the rest of his team will always cherish.

“Not a lot of kids get to call themselves state champions, but these guys get to claim it. I’m excited for them, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” Crawford said.

“To give these kids their recognition, to show everybody that hard work does pay off, and we have the hardware to prove it.”
