    FEMA adds a disaster recovery center in North Augusta

    North Augusta, S.C. (WJBF)- FEMA has opened a third South Carolina Disaster Recovery Center to help our viewers in the CSRA.

    In addition to the centers in Lexington and Barnwell Counties, a Disaster Recovery Center is now open in North Augusta to provide in-person assistance to South Carolinians affected by Hurricane Helene.

    The center, located at the Nancy Carson Library at 135 Edgefield Road in North Augusta, will be open from October 14-17 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

    Representatives of FEMA, the state of South Carolina and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be on hand to answer any questions or help file for aide.

    No appointment is needed. To find other center locations, go to fema.gov/drc or text “DRC” and a Zip Code to 43362.

    About dang time. they have had then set up on the Augusta side for over a week already. Even have people going through the neighborhoods door to door. So what does that make 3? Really, for all this destruction? This brings to mind the old saying, A day late and a dollar short.
