    Augusta’s ‘Walk to End Alzheimer’s’ rescheduled for Nov. 16

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The 2024 “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” in Augusta has been rescheduled to Nov. 16 after Hurricane Helene forced the annual event to be postponed.

    This year’s walk, which was was originally scheduled for Sept. 28, will be held at the Evans Towne Center Park, located on 7016 Evans Towne Center Boulevard. Arrival begins at 9 a.m.

    The Alzheimer’s Association hosts the walk annually to bring awareness to the disease and shed light on those it affects.

    According to the Augusta website as of Oct. 14, over 400 participants have signed up for to participate this year, raising $46,629 of the $75,000 goal.
