COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Columbia County School District has reported a graduation rate increase this year, with more than 93 percent of high school students from the Class of 2024 earning their diplomas.

According to a press release from the district on Oct. 17, the 93.4 percent increase from Columbia County Schools is eight points above the state average of 85.4 percent.

Columbia County Schools acknowledged the accomplishment as the result of hard work from students, staff and families.

“The dedicated staff of the CCSD works hard to encourage students to engage in their
education and graduate on time,” the statement read.
