Undefeated Westside hosts Harlem for Game Night Live matchup

AUGUSTA, GA (WJBF)- Game Night Live features the Westside Patriots and the Harlem Bulldogs. Westside is 6-0 on the season. They’re coming off a 41-6 win over Cross Creek, making it their third game winning by 20 points or more.

The Patriots were unstoppable on the ground last week, finishing with 338 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Harlem is coming off a 12-7 loss against Aquinas. It’s the Bulldog’s lowest scoring matchup on the season.

Head-to-head, Westside is 0-4 against Harlem dating back to 2016, but the Patriots are looking to defend their home field and remain undefeated.

“You know what’s gotten us to this point is just being who we are. being physical, being hard-nosed, running the football, trying to play good defense, and being sound in special teams,” said Westside head coach Lee Hutto.

“Of course, for us we’ve got one of the best backs in the area, so we’ve got to find ways to get him going. But we’ve got the capability to throw the ball, our quarterback has been really consistent. But once again our hands are going to be full, we’ve got a tall task ahead of us as far as being able to play the line of scrimmage and fit, do the things we need to do to stop their run game.”

Kick-off is set for Friday, 7:30 p.m. on METV.
