Police: Person hit, killed by train in Marion

MARION, Va. (WJHL) – The Marion Police Department is investigating after a person was hit and killed by a train.

According to a news release from Marion town spokesperson Ken Heath, officers responded to the train tracks near the Church Street bridge Wednesday morning.

Marion Police Chief John Clair reported the person struck by the train appeared to be from out of the state and was using the railway to travel.

The identity of the deceased will not be released until their next of kin has been notified.

In addition to police, Norfolk Southern Railway officials were also on the scene in Marion.

Further details are expected to be released later.

Sad, true story for 2 years I was homeless on pills my mom wouldn’t talk me, my x took my house cheating on me, I got feeling depressed , brother shot himself over a chick, and I gave up 04-05 not sure what year may been later have look it up, but I kneeled down highland waiting on train, cause tired being sick broke and live on N Highland train come through ever night at 4am-5am think why got year mixed up was like 2009-2012, I sat there and wasn’t spiritual but I prayed if I was meant be here God would send someone to keep me from being pill sick, instead the train derailed in Mohawk TN and never showed I smoked pack smokes waiting , then daylight no train, I took as a sign , and I been doing what gov told me at mental exam , instead doing school becoming a lawer or investigator I took street classes and pulled a lot evil pushers that suppose protect and serve out the shadows , now Greene co looses me all news outlets going get hit with a Trutj so evil Satan himself wouldn’t claim
