    TBI: Elizabethton man accused of abusing vulnerable adult

    ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – An Elizabethton man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly abusing his adult sister who lives with a developmental disability.

    Sean David Moody, 39, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly abusing a disabled adult under his care, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

    The TBI began investigating after receiving a referral from Adult Protective Services regarding a woman in Elizabethton, a news release states. A warrant was obtained charging Moody, the brother of the victim, with abuse of a vulnerable adult.

    Moody was booked into the Carter County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

    Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Medicaid Fraud Control Division and the Carter County Sheriff’s Office are working on the ongoing investigation.

    If my memory is correct the father was g these two siblings used to own a sign shop in elizabethton. And I’m sure this is misinformation

    Piece of crap needs an attitude adjustment. He is obviously a coward since he is abusing the elderly.
