“There’s a lot of energy and excitement,” said Danelle Glasscock, executive director of UWGK. “Kingsport does have a Kingsport spirit of giving and we get to multiply on that. We have wonderful top giving companies that we also wanted to emphasize today that gave to us last year and will be helping us again this year.”

After the program, guests went on a walk-through tour of Centennial Park and learned about UWGK’s 90-year legacy.

Appalachian Ice provided free ice cream and guests bought tickets and t-shirts for UWGK’s 90th birthday party at the event as well.

The event was held at High Voltage on Cherokee Street.
