BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – Some of the best pickleball players in the world put on a show for the fans on Championship Sunday at the IHG Hotels & Resorts Bristol Open.

Five pro titles were handed out at the conclusion of the Professional Pickleball Association’s (PPA) first trip to Bristol.

Rain delayed the start of the men’s double final, but when they got going, Quang Duong and Christian Alshon couldn’t be stopped. The No. 8 seeds took the hardware in three straight games, 11-7, 11-7, 12-10.

The result denied Collin Johns a victory – and Ben Johns a triple crown at Bristol. But Ben, one the world’s top players, still came away with a pair of titles.

Johns defeated Federico Staksrud in the men’s singles, 11-4, 11-9. He also claimed top prize in the mixed doubles event with Anna Leigh Waters, as the duo topped Anna Bright/Christian Alshon, 11-3, 11-1, 11-4.

Waters claimed her second title of the week in women’s doubles, as she and partner Catherine Parenteau swept Anna Bright/Rachel Rohrabacher, 11-6, 11-6, 11-4.

Finally, in the women’s singles, Brooke Buckner came back from a game down to defeat Kaitlyn Christian, 3-11, 11-3, 11-7.
