    New ‘Main Street Days’ festival coming to downtown Johnson City in October

    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Downtown Johnson City announced a new street festival that will promote small businesses is set to make its debut in October.

    Main Street Days will take place in downtown Johnson City on Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

    Scooter’s Coffee to open Boones Creek location

    The festival will celebrate businesses in the downtown area and the people who run them.

    “Main Street Days aims to strengthen the downtown community while showcasing the diversity and uniqueness of the area,” Downtown Johnson City stated in a social media post. “Visitors can expect a full day of outdoor and indoor live music, activities, entertainment and much more! With over 30 restaurants, 15+ pubs, and numerous retailers, Johnson City offers a wealth of unique experiences and products.”

    Vendors can find applications for the event online.

    wish they would do something about the dope fiends trashing, shitting on everything, throwing needles, and using dope 20 ft from my apartment. downtown is wild sometimes and I really can't wait to leave that area.
