In the 38th minute, Avery Paulson had a shot blocked by the Bucs’ defense. But, she regained possession and centered a pass to Ava Goodman who re-directed the ball on net. ETSU goalkeeper Ashton Blair got a piece of the shot, but it still managed to trickle in for a 2-0 lead.

Less than three minutes later, Isabella Wedemeyer scored on a perfectly-placed cross from a teammate to make it 3-0 at halftime.

Reagan Fitzgerald responded with a goal for the Blue and Gold in the 69th minute to round out the scoring.

The flames controlled a large portion of the possession throughout the afternoon, out-shooting the Bucs 26-6.

Blair made nine saves in the loss, which moves her into seventh on the all-time saves list at ETSU.

The Bucs (1-3) will hit the road beginning Thursday. A match with Davidson is scheduled for 6 p.m.
